JCPenney Grant Presentation
The JCPenney Afterschool Fund selected Grass Valley's 4-H Afterschool Child Care Program (ACCP) as one of the recipients of its "First Gift" grants to exceptional afterschool programs. This $10,000 grant was presented on Thursday, January 30, 2003,at Hennessy Elementary School by Dennis Sproviero, manager of the JCPenney Store in Grass Valley to local representatives. 4-H ACCP will utilize the funds to provide more educational programming and computer access to participating youth in Nevada and Placer Counties.
