Livestock and Natural Resources - Working With Nature

This program promotes using management, not technology, to solve issues and problems. Emphasis is put on generating sustainable profit, not maximizing production. Educational workshops and events are held through out the year:.

Three "Pasture Walks" will be offered in 2008. A tour and discussion of grazing and other management issues will take place.

I publish a quarterly Foothill Rancher newsletter. You can sign up and receive the newsletter electronically. Foothill Rancher

There is an annual field day at the Sierra Research and Extension Center in April. Each year, the is held in late April or early May. Farm calls are available by an appointment basis. Questions can answered by phone call (530-889-7385) or email at rsingram@ucdavis.edu .
