Recent research underlines the value of teaching children proper diet and exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. This is especially important in light of the fact childhood obesity has tripled in the past three decades. One in three Americans, younger than 18 is overweight. The rapid rise in childhood obesity, if left unchecked, could cause this generation of youth to be the first in American history to have a shorter lifespan than their parents.
Our goal: Young children will develop healthy eating and physical activity habits that will last a lifetime.
This is done through our research-based, fun, hands-on curricula. Preschool
Placer and Nevada Counties' educators are joining our Let's Eat Healthy! program to help their students improve their eating habits and increase their daily physical activity.

High quality nutrition education curricula are beneficial in helping preschoolers to establish healthy eating and physical activity habits. Research continues to show the importance of establishing these habits early in life.
